Class Descriptions
When starting dance there's so many options. How do you know what you'll get in each class and what to pick? Below are our classes we offer with an informative description of what a class will look like.
Ballet
This is the most classical form of dance. Ballet teaches dances to move with grace, poise and precision in their technique. We highly recommend dancers take ballet especially if they want to exceed in any other dance genre as ballet is the foundation for all dance. This class is for any dancer that wants to learn the classical form of dance and who loves precision and beauty.
P.S. It does wonders for SPORTS athletics!
Tap
In this style of dance the dancers are wearing fitting shoes with metal "taps" attached to the heel and toe of the shoe. The students' feet then act as a drum in striking the floor or any other hard surface. Here they will be learning particular steps and movements to make rhythm, sound and beats with their feet!
Jazz
A fast paced genre of dance. At the turn of the 20th century, African Americans started blending African movements with other European styles of dance. In Jazz, we take what we learn from ballet, put a little twist on it and add some more modern music. The movements in jazz can be more rigid, sharp with flow as well. This class is for the dancer who wants to let their creative juices flow!
Hiphop
In the 1970's hip-hop was born by fusing street dance and other cultural forms of dance and freestyle. This is becoming one of the most popular forms of dance in our culture today. Hip-hop focus on hard hitting movements with some flow and lots of attitude! This class focuses on strength, hip-hop tricks and grooving in different ways to different music. This is the perfect form of dance for the dancer who has spunk!

This is for the dancer who loves to express their emotions through movement where the sky is the limit!
